The Class A stereo power amplifier in double mono design Art Audiophile amp 1 is specified in the trade fair brochure for the radio exhibition of 1989 with a power of 2x 30 watts at 8 ohms and with a factory price of 2,800 marks.
In the brochure for the radio exhibition of 1993, the power amplifier is described as follows:
"The stereo power amplifier contains a dual structure with galvanically isolated power supplies. (...) The loudspeaker outputs are in phase analogous to the inputs. DC-coupled circuits with bipolar transistors, up to 12 W per channel in Class A technology, up to 45 watts at 8 ohms (85 W at 4 ohms) in the B range. Power supplies with "battery character" are able to provide very high pulse powers at short notice. In combination with tube precursors, a stress-free. highly analytical sound image is achieved. With a high damping factor over the entire frequency range, practically almost every loudspeaker is "under control"."
The power amplifier offers an output power of 30 watts sine at 8 ohms at an input voltage of 775mV (1kHz). The nonlinear distortions are at 2/3 rated power < 0.01%.
The manufacturer states, "The monoblocks are electrically identical" mono amp. The new price of the stereo power amplifier was 3,900 marks in 1993.
