Special features
Not to be confused with the number 3: https://www.hifi-wiki.de/index.php/ALR_Jordan_Number_3
There were 3 (4?) Generations of this model:
the 2nd generation has 2 volumes of the same size: the box is divided diagonally by a dividing board from below the upper woofer to slightly below the lower woofer. In addition, it has a stiffening board at the bottom and stiffeners at the top of the woofer as well. The BR tubes are the same size/ length. The low mid-range crossover sits directly on the terminal and works with apparently 12db filters and even film capacitors (MKT) parallel to the upper TMT. The tweeter switch is located on the rear wall behind the upper midrange driver.
the 3rd generation has improved special aluminum woofers from English company TED Jordan with D'Appolito configuration.

2nd generation
Number 3 2nd generation: Outstanding neutral loudspeaker that plays very "correctly" and confidently. Quite a "fast" speaker. Possible technical explanation: The number 2 of the same series, from 1000Hz upwards, according to tests, had an exceptionally fast decay behavior, especially for 2-way vehicles. Typically, ALR cannot be classified into categories such as analytical or musical. With a good Hi-Fi chain in front of it, an outstanding spatiality is achieved. The music breaks away from the speaker with ease. Slightly less draft than, for example, the number 4 1st generation, but can therefore stand closer to the wall. Also plays louder yet very distortion-free. Does not become tiring sonically even after a long time.
