A further developed device from the K1 type, practically identical in construction. When a concert recording of the London Philharmonic Orchestra under its conductor Sir Thomas Beecham was recorded with this device in November 1936, radio operators were interested in this technology to replace the wax plates used until then.

This device, which is referred to here as K1, is actually a device of the K2 series
