Special Equipment The heavy carbon fiber membrane is provided with a ribbed structure, which provides high damping and improves stability: even abyssal tones remain taut and defined. A double-corrugated elastic suspension made of plastized fabric provides a linear deflection of the membrane. The pole core-pole plate combination of the massive magnet system is made of steel, the voice coil is optimally cooled by the large ventilation opening. The magnetic system and diaphragm of the THOR 24" low bass are mounted precisely with a light torsion-free basket made of die-cast aluminum.
In this case, one can actually no longer speak of a subwoofer; "earthquake simulator" would be more appropriate. Even at low volume, all objects that can catch sound waves and are able to vibrate develop a life of their own. Special care should be taken with glass panes that are noticeable by rattling (and interfere with the enjoyment of music). Bottom: Picture 1: The part in the living room.
